THE 2006 ROYAL WELSH SHOW

Four glorious days of sunshine made the 2006 Royal Welsh Show a wonderful experience. Glynis stayed at home to look after the imported fillies and to deal with the devastating floods.

For the first time ever, the Cob in-hand entries at 522 exceeded those of the Welsh Mountain ponies at 510. This is believed to be because the Section A judge had a preference for a particular type of Welsh Mountain Pony. Their entries were down by 24% as a result.

The results of the judging were:-

But the George Prince of Wales Cup went to the bay Junior Brood Mare, Llamri Lausanne by Menai Sparkling Image out of Fronarth Fflamgoch pictured below.
