In the Editorial of the 2011 Journal, it is recorded

"At the 2010 AGM, members voted to continue the then current position for the publication of this Journal. Unfortunately Council in November last year took a decision to reverse the decision of the members, notified the publishers of this Journal that it would no longer be the official publication and decided to issue their own ‘official’ journal. By the 2011 AGM no sign of any activity to publish a journal by council was obvious. This Journal will continue to be published whether official or not as it is done not for the self aggrandisement of individuals but to honour those ponies and cobs and their breeders who have made a contribution to the Welsh Breed in South Africa."

At the 2012 AGM, council of the Welsh Ponies & Cobs Society of South Africa was silent on its intention to publish a journal.

The Editor expresses his appreciation to so many members of the Society, the advertisers and the public who have contacted him expressing their support for the continuation of this Journal. Any person with any information on the history of studs, Welsh ponies or cobs, shows or any general information is invited to submit this to the Editor at journal@easycoms.co.za. Photographs of ponies of yesteryear are of particular interest to readers.

The 2012 Journal is due to be published on September 1, 2012 and details for this are contained on the page Journal 2012
